India started its space journey with a century of satellites launched into space in 2018. The PSLV-C40 of ISRO successfully placed the 100th satellite from the Sriharikota on 12th January 2018.

PSLV-C40 is 44.4 metres tall and weighs about 320 tonne at the lift-off stage. The 31 satellites with a combined weight of 1,323 kg Of the 31 satellites, amongst three are Indian and 28 are from six countries: Canada, Finland, France, South Korea, the UK and the US.
